Hey Joes—Want a T-shirt?

Let everyone know you're a Joe.We'll be easy to spot on the job site when we're all wearing our signature red t-shirt. Email us your info so we can determine how many we need to order. If you know of anyone else that wants one, just add that info to your email. You don't have to be a Joe to want to look like one!

Recently Completed Projects

Here's a look at some of our recent projects:

  • Nurse Room Project at Holy Family School

It all started with Father Edward's request for a simple wall partition that turned into a more complex project—involving plumbing and the need to extend the walls to the underside of the metal decking above the suspended ceiling. This successful project was completed with many hands and some very skilled workers, coupled with Dan Burd’s excellent project management skills. With the contribution of the Home and School Volunteers who repainted new and existing walls, this truly became a community building project that the whole parish can take pride in.

It's Celebration Time

On Wednesday, May 1, 2013, the feast day of St. Joseph the Worker, there will be a special gathering for the members of St. Joseph & Sons at St. Rita Parish.  We will start with Mass at 6:00 pm followed by a potluck dinner and program in Wahl Hall.

All Joes and spouses / significant others are invited to celebrate this day and honor our patron saint. You are encouraged to extend an invitation to others you feel would be interested in joining our organization.

We will gather with our membership family in fellowship and in celebration for the completion of our recent projects.  After the meal, we will present a brief program to include the history of St. Joseph & Sons, a sharing of the successes from many of the projects, and information on future projects.
Please bring you favorite dish to pass, enjoy the fellowship, and share with your fellow St. Joseph and Sons family.  More information will follow in regards to the potluck.

St.Peter's Project Update

Our Team was made up of over 20 people per day. We had 3 Boylan students and 1 Guilford student participate. The St. Peters Parishioners took ownership and pride in the project. As other needs arise in the school you now have a strong team to accomplish the tasks. We started each day with a reflection prayer service that helped us center on our project at hand and why God has given us the strength to use our talents to assist others.

• We accomplished the removal of the carpet in four classrooms, cleaning and staining of the woodwork as well as the first floor hallway.
• Completed the cleaning and staining of the windows and handrails in the west section of the school.
• Leveled the floor in one of the rooms by removing part of the floor and installing a sheet of plywood. • Replaced all of the insulation on the hot water pipes floor to ceiling in the 4 classrooms.
• Replaced the sink cabinet and plumbing in the second grade class room.
• Updates to the 4 rooms included; computer cable rerouting, cleaning and adjustment to the windows, which should now open a little easier.
• A Window Team was brought together to take ownership of the window maintenance and repair.

The professional carpet installers will complete the carpet installation on Sunday the 7th. Thank you for the gifts that God has given the team members.

Thank you to the ladies and staff for providing us with the snacks and lunch. Thank you to the St. Peters students, staff and others for their prayers in supporting the team. Thank you to Father Beekman for his guidance in bringing the St. Peters Team together to make a difference.

On behalf of St. Joseph and Sons, Stewards of the Carpenter, we appreciate the opportunity to be part of this project.
